The (former?) advice columnist at Salon, Cary Tennis, is undergoing cancer treatment and has decided to spend the rest of his life, however short, working on marijuana legalization.  He has a considerable following (they donated for his treatment, since his insurer denied -  very American story)  Here's the opening shot in his campaign:
