Dr. Carl Hart has been on a tear these past two years, provoking a rethink in the world of drug policy and addiction research. Join us for an invigorating discussion from one of today's new voices in the age old debate on how best to address drugs in society.
Dr. Carl Hart is a neuropsychopharmacologist at Columbia University, where he conducts research and teaches in neuroscience, psychology, and pharmacology. He is also the author of The High Price: A Neuroscientist's Journey of Self-Discovery That Challenges Everything You Know About Drugs and Society.
Opening remarks will be presented by Bruce Alexander, SFU Professor Emeritus and author of The Globalization of Addicton: A Study in Poverty of the Spirit.
