Keeping the Door Open: Dialogues on Drug Use is proud to bring SafeGames to Vancouver for the 2001 Winter Olympics.
SafeGames 2010 is a consortium of local, national, and international harm-reduction and advocacy organisations, working to ensure that Vancouver residents and international visitors celebrate safely during the upcoming Winter Olympics. See our media release attached.
SafeGames 2010 seeks to educate people who may not be aware of the risks of their own behaviour, to highlight the Vancouver’s reputation as a global leader in innovative harm reduction policies and practices, and to support the ongoing work of the many organisations working to provide solutions to Vancouver’s public health challenges.
I am writing to you for two reasons:
1. We are recruiting volunteers for several activities – see attached for the details.
2. We have over 30 members in our consortium – if you are not a member, it is an oversight! Please let us know if we have missed you, understand that it is a busy time, and send your logo and blurb to Sarah Spencer at
In solidarity for a safe and fun Games.
